Digital & Social Media Strategist
Location: Brussels, Belgium

Weber Shandwick Brussels is recruiting for a digital leader capable of driving earned and owned digital offers across our client base, focusing primarily within the Consumer Marketing business, but also acting as a digital consultant to the wider business.

This is a great role for an experienced senior digital expert who wants the opportunity to shine in a leading integrated communications agency.

Key responsibilities

  • To create game-changing, digitally executed ideas and sell them to our existing or new clients
  • To drive year-on-year growth and secure greater digital spend from our existing clients
  • To work primarily with our Practice Heads to accelerate the growth of digital communications within the Consumer and wider businesses
  • To help develop thought leadership platforms and new business opportunities to maintain our already-strong reputation and create growth opportunities
  • To help impart best-in-class digital knowledge to the teams in Consumer and the rest of the agency, sharing best practice and helping to educate and train the teams
  • To lead our digital task force across all our practice groups (Consumer, Corporate, Public Affairs and Healthcare) and inspire our junior digital natives embedded in each of these practices

Candidate Requirements

  • You are a digital native, active yourself in the social media space, capable of advising and selling services and products to our clients
  • You thrive on uncovering insights, leading digital strategy and evangelising digital to our clients
  • You have a bachelor's degree, preferably in (digital) marketing
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a (digital) marketing environment, preferably within an online agency or advertiser or within a (digital) consultancy environment.
  • You have affinity with the technical aspects of online marketing and are be familiar with online communication techniques, such as: SEO, SEM, mobile and apps
  • You passionately and closely follow the latest developments within the context of digital and social media and communicate about them to your colleagues
  • You have a highly developed understanding of the role digital communications plays within the wider marketing mix
  • You should be able to work as an integrated part of the Brussels team, managing issues as they arise and fostering enthusiasm across the agency
  • English speaker, French and/or Dutch is a plus

  • Community management (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc…)
  • Running a Facebook campaign and any other online initiatives on the platform (e.g. Facebook apps and games)
  • Running a Twitter contest

  • Digital content/asset creation (e.g. Writing tweets, images/video production to live online)

Account Executive / Senior Account Executive, Consumer Practice, Weber Shandwick Brussels
Location: Brussels, Belgium

Weber Shandwick Brussels is looking to recruit an ambitious Account Executive / Senior Account Executive ready to move into a new and challenging role in its award-winning consumer practice group. The ideal candidate will play a very active part in executing existing business with added responsibilities to help the team secure new business. Fluency within, and a passion for, the digital sphere and social networking is a must. The winning candidate will be rewarded by working alongside a fun, dynamic and exciting team, overseeing campaigns for some of the world's biggest brands and companies.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all clients receive a superior level of customer service from the agency. You will also show the ability to add value to client relationships through your understanding of digital marketing activities and experience
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of project execution: helping your managers take briefs; accurately managing and spending client budgets; regular, diligent and accurate reporting to your client and the agency team
  • You should be passionately proven in selling client products, campaign collateral and ideas to journalists (traditional print, online and broadcast) and bloggers (you should have a portfolio of coverage available to bring to interview)
  • In addition to responsibilities in your home office in Brussels, from time to time you will also remotely work alongside other key departments within the Weber Shandwick global network

Candidate Requirements

  • You will have a bachelor's degree
  • You will have a minimum of one to two years working experience in consumer marketing and PR, with an understanding of digital, corporate and B2B communications
  • You will have a basic understanding of online marketing and will be familiar with online communication techniques such as SEO and SEM and social media
  • You passionately and closely follow the latest developments within the context of traditional, digital and social media closely and communicate them to your colleagues
  • You should be able to work as an integrated part of the team, managing issues as they arise and encouraging enthusiasm through the practice group
  • You should have excellent time and workload management skills
  • Flemish should be your native language, with fluent verbal and written understanding of French and English

(A demonstrable passion for design, food and drink and poker is an advantage!)
